Our love for “special needs” horses was born out of our own personnel experience of adoption of three magnificent horses from a local horse rescue. These horses changed our lives in so many ways and also educated us in the plight that so many equines find themselves in due to the hard economic times we live in. Homelessness, abandonment, or the worst, bound for slaughter are just a few of the scenarios that horses face every day. Our name comes from the memory of these three wonderful friends. Bud, Dakota and Lady, all special needs horses that changed our lives and poured so much good into our family. It is our desire to provide a permanent refuge to horses that would otherwise be deemed unadoptable and to rehabilitate and place those who are adoptable into loving permanent homes, while educating the public to the plight of these magnificent animals. The love of Christ, horses and each other is the backbone of our strength to carry out our mission..
